Must have at least two years experience with horses (we will ask you to provide references/previous employment
Punctuality is extremely important
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Must be extremely courteous and maintain positive communications with clients and staff/owners
Have the ability to be aware, assess and report any horse incidents, injuries, lost shoes, etc. to barn owners/manager
Must be a self-starter and have the ability to quickly adapt to change in daily routine based on client needs, training schedule changes. weather, etc.
Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, a Social Security Number or valid work visa, etc.
All employees will be on payroll and be required to fill out W-4 and I-9 forms
Must be able to speak fluent English
This is a full time, 40-hours per week job with some weekends required

Duties include but are not limited to: Daily care of horses such as: turn out/in (can change daily based on weather, client needs and training schedule), putting on boots, blankets, etc., making sure waters are full inside and out, feed hay and grain, pick stalls, clean waterers, cobwebs, stall fronts, feed room, etc., unload/stack grain bags, miscellaneous and occasional duties as required by the barn owners.
Grooming experience and ability to operate equipment (tractor, spreader, arena drag, mowers, etc.) is not required but is considered a plus.
